Ramsey Lewis

The Ramsey Lewis Foundation needs your help with music lessons for kids!

Perhaps you've heard me mention the foundation on the air.  It was established in 2005 as part of my ongoing work on behalf of children in music.  You can help them receive the music education that is vital to their growth as human beings.
Visit the Ramsey Lewis Foundation to find out more.

Just added - a great interview with Chris Botti.
Chris joined us recently. We played a bit on the air.  Here's the entire interview - very interesting!

Biography
The Legends of Jazz, a nationally syndicated radio show is hosted by WNUA's very own Ramsey Lewis.  Each show presents two hours of the great names in jazz and their finest recordings. Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Billie Holiday, Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Dave Brubeck and more – including the  players who are carrying on the jazz tradition today. With Ramsey Lewis as the host, you’ll get unique and personal insights from someone who’s spent more than four decades in music.

The Legends of Jazz can now be seen on WTTW - Channel 11, Friday nights at 9:30PM (CST).  Each weekly episode will feature a guest artist performing several numbers with Ramsey and his Trio.  In between these informal performances, Ramsey and his guest chat casually about topics related to the show's theme.  Weekly episodes will focus on a single instrument, style or element of jazz.
